Second-generation kitchens in first-generation estates
Spanish Trail has been one of Las Vegas’s best-known guard-gated addresses since the 1980s, built around its country club and large custom homes. Queensridge followed in the 1990s on the west side, with estate lots and, later, the high-rise towers that define its skyline. Many homes in both communities are now on their second or third owner, and their second or third kitchen.
These houses were built with a lot of wood: raised-panel cabinetry, heavy crown, wet bars, libraries and paneled family rooms. Some of it is worth keeping. Much of it reads as its era. A good remodel decides which is which.
Remodeling with the architecture, not against it
Open the kitchen, keep the character. Many 1980s and 1990s plans separate the kitchen from the family room. Where walls can move, we design a kitchen that opens to the living space, with an island that reads as furniture and tall storage that hides the working side of the room.
Room-by-room continuity. Owners rarely redo everything at once. We plan the house as a whole, kitchen first, then primary suite, bar and library, so finishes and door styles stay consistent across phases that may be years apart. Because every door comes off our own shop floor, matching later is a matter of records, not luck.
Update the millwork, too. Wet bars, media walls and libraries can be rebuilt in walnut or rift oak with integrated lighting, so the whole house moves forward together.
High-rise remodels in Queensridge
Condo work in Queensridge Towers and One Queensridge Place has its own rules: freight elevator reservations, set work hours, floor and corridor protection, and contractor paperwork for building management. We plan delivery and install days around those requirements and keep the visit count low. Building cabinets complete in our factory means less cutting, noise and dust on site.
Why 30-year-old woodwork cracks, and how new work won’t
Much of the original cabinetry in these homes was built from solid wood panels, and three decades of Las Vegas air shows: split door panels, open miter joints, finish crazed where the sun hits it. New cabinetry here is built the opposite way, with dimensionally stable cores under the veneer, joinery that tolerates seasonal movement, and finishes chosen for UV exposure. In high-rise units, where central air keeps humidity even lower, that stability matters even more.

Our Spanish Trail home has a lot of original woodwork. Do we have to redo everything at once?
No. Many owners do the kitchen first, then the primary suite, then the bar or library. Because every piece is built in our own shop, we can keep finishes consistent from room to room across separate phases.
Can you remodel a condo in Queensridge Towers or One Queensridge Place?
Yes. High-rise work comes with building rules for freight elevator bookings, work hours, floor protection and contractor paperwork. We plan deliveries and install days around them with your building management.
Can new cabinetry work with an existing stone or tile floor?
Usually, yes. We build to your exact measurements, so new cabinets can sit on the existing footprint and toe-kicks can be scribed to the floor. If you're changing the layout, we'll show you where floor patching would be needed before you commit.
How far is your shop from Spanish Trail and Queensridge?
About 25 minutes across town from our North Las Vegas factory, which makes phased projects easy. Each new room is a short trip, and finish samples can come straight from the shop.
