Cabinetry for every era of Summerlin home

Summerlin has been building out since the early 1990s, so a drive across it covers three decades of design. The homes we see fall into two broad groups, and they need different things from a cabinet maker.

Early villages: 1990s and 2000s homes. Many were finished in the Mediterranean and Tuscan look of the time: raised-panel cherry or maple, dark glazes, heavy crown and busy granite. The bones are good: generous kitchens, big islands, real pantries. What owners usually want is lighter wood, flatter doors, better storage inside the boxes, and hardware that doesn’t date the room. Because we build to measure, the layout can stay or change. That’s a design decision, not a constraint of stock sizes.

Newer neighborhoods and custom estates. In The Ridges, Red Rock Country Club and the newer villages to the west, the language is desert contemporary: tall glass, stone, long sightlines. Cabinetry there reads as architecture, with flat slab doors in rift-cut white oak or walnut, panel-ready appliances, handle-less or integrated pulls, and runs that go to the ceiling. Those details only work if the box, door and reveal are all made together, which is the point of building in our own factory.

Built for the desert, not just delivered to it

Cabinets that look perfect in a showroom can struggle here. A few things we design for on every Summerlin project:

• Dry air. Low humidity makes solid wood shrink across the grain. Large slab doors are built on stable veneered cores rather than glued-up solid boards, every surface is finished (including backs and edges) so moisture moves evenly, and solid stock is kept where its movement is controlled.
• Hard water. Las Vegas Valley water is hard, and mineral deposits find every raw edge under a sink. Sink bases and vanities get sealed edges and wipe-clean interiors.
• Sun and heat. West-facing great rooms and garages take real heat and UV. We pick finishes that hold their color, and garage cabinets are specified for temperature swings.

One team, from first visit to final hinge

A designer comes to your home, measures every wall and walks you through door styles, woods and finishes. You get drawings and a fixed, itemized quote. Your cabinets are then cut, assembled and finished in our North Las Vegas shop and installed by our own crew. That’s not a subcontractor you’ll meet for the first time on install day. And because the shop is half an hour away, an adjustment after the install is a short trip, not a warranty claim.
